Multi-disciplinary Australian artist Sean Bell writes gothic, post-punk earworms with raw, poetic lyrics, dirty basslines, towering guitars, and thundering drums. Peppered with pop culture references and scathing self-awareness, his music evokes a dancey-darkness reminiscent of artists like David Bowie, The Cure, New Order and Nick Cave.

His sound is definitively Australian, informed by isolated urban decay and hostile rugged landscapes, and viscerally tackles themes of mental illness, love and angst.

DEBUT ALBUM: ‘MONSTER’

So excited to announce I have finally completed my debut album full of new songs!!!! I can finally reveal it is called “MONSTER”. It’s a tight concept album about every interpretation of that word, literally and metaphorically.

It’s been a longer process than I expected. Respect to anyone who’s ever made an album; it’s a huge amount of work. I recorded the instruments from 2024-2026 and the vocals this year. (And it’s all human, no GenAI.)

MONSTER barrels along with goth-pop energy, informed by my current interests and musical taste. IMHO it’s my best work, a monstrous leap forward in all areas. I strived to have no skippable songs. I THINK/HOPE it has high replay value. In a way, it’s “pop”, but done like David Bowie or New Order: dark and quirky.

The first single is out September 23 and is a banger.

It’s become a fan favourite at my live gigs. Can’t wait to share it!
