MUSIC
New Sydney-based artist Sean Bell writes gothic, post-punk earworms with raw, poetic lyrics, dirty basslines, towering guitars, and thundering drums. Peppered with pop culture references and scathing self-awareness, his music evokes a dancey-darkness reminiscent of artists like David Bowie, The Cure, New Order and Nick Cave.
A one man musical army, Sean Bell performs live on electric guitar, bass, keys and vocals. His sound is definitively Australian, informed by isolated urban decay and hostile rugged landscapes, and viscerally tackles themes of mental illness, love and angst.
MY NEW SINGLE!
A fresh take on heartbreak, this song is an earnest, melodic, earworm, building into a huge 80s-influenced rocker. Soft and visceral in 2 contrasting halves, it builds a story of lost faith in love via romantic Hollywood movie references. I’ve thrown my whole bleeding heart into honest vocal harmonies, textured guitars, counter-melody bass, and thundering drums.
